"Tout à commencé le jour où j'ai trouvé un macintosh des années 80, en 
état de marche, sur un trottoir à coté des poubelles. Là j'ai compris 
que ça ne valait plus rien et que je pouvais enfin faire quelque chose 
d'intéressant avec cet ordinateur.

Quelques jours plus tard j'achetais une antique carte réseau sur ebay. 
Raccorder cette machine à mon réseau domestique rendit possible son 
utilisation à l'intérieur de mon système d'échange de fichiers. Il me 
vint l'idée de transférer des photos prises avec mon appareil numérique 
sur cette machine et d'expérimenter leur traitement avec des logiciels 
de l'époque. Le but n'est pas de faire du neuf ou de l'ancien, en fait 
je ne veux faire aucun des deux.

Au niveau des images, j'ai réalisé, des portraits de filles que je 
connais, des paysages vus en Australie, des photos de matériel 
informatique. Rien de spécial, aucune intention particulière, un 
ensemble parfaitement neutre à mon humble avis.

Si j'ai choisi le domaine de l'art contemporain pour présenter ces 
images c'est qu'il est à ma connaissance le seul domaine où l'on peut 
tout expérimenter et montrer."

"Everything started the day I found a macintosh of the eighties, in 
running, on a sidewalk next to the bins. There I understood that it's 
not worth anything anymore and that I could finally do something 
interesting with this computer.

A few days later I bought an old network card on ebay. Connecting this 
machine in my home network gave its possible use inside of my sharing 
files system. It came to me the idea of uploading photos taken with my 
digital camera on this machine and test their processing with software 
of the eighties. The goal is not to do something new or old, in fact I 
do neither.

In terms of images, I realized, portraits of girls I know, landscapes 
seen in Australia, photos of digitals parts. Nothing special, no 
specific intention, a perfectly neutral work in my humble opinion.

If I chose the field of contemporary art to display these images is that 
it is to my knowledge the only area where we can test and show everything."

"Todo comenzó el día que me encontré con un macintosh de los años 80, 
todavía funcionando, en una acera junto a las basuras. Me fijé que no 
valía nada y que finalmente podía// hacer algo interesante con esta 
computadora.

Unos días después me compré una vieja tarjeta de red en eBay. Conectando 
esta máquina en mi red doméstica dio a conocer su posible utilización 
dentro de mi sistema de archivos. Me vino la idea de subir las fotos 
tomadas con mi cámara digital en esta computadora y poner a prueba su 
procesamiento con el software de su tiempo. El objetivo no es hacer algo 
nuevo o antiguo, no quiero ninguno de ellos.

En términos de imágenes,  he hecho retratos de chicas que conozco, des 
paisajes vistos en Australia, fotos de material informatico. Nada 
especial, sin intención específica, perfectamente neutral en mi humilde 
opinión.

Si he elegido el campo del arte contemporáneo para mostrar estas 
imágenes es que es que yo sepa el único ámbito en el que podemos probar 
y mostrar todo."
